State Level Science Essay Writing Competition

To discover scientific talent and encourage students to think on broader aspects of science and technology, the Punjab State Council for Science & Technology organizes a State Level Science Essay Writing Competition for the children, under the project Celebration of National Science Day in Punjab.

Students of classes 9th to 12th or in the age group of 14-17 years are eligible to participate in this competition. The competition is held in both English and Punjabi languages.

For State Level Science Essay Writing Competition for 2019, the topics are:

  • Communicating Science for All;

  • Science, Technology & Innovation for Clean, Green and Healthy Nation;

  • Science & Technology in Traditional Knowledge Systems;

  • Waste to Wealth;

An announcement for participation in State Level Science Essay Writing Competition will be made through prominent newspapers in November, 2018. Entries would be invited by submitting applications online at this site. Eligible and shortlisted applicants will be invited for the Essay Writing Competition in 1st week of February, 2019.

In both, English & Punjabi categories, the following cash prizes would be given:

  • 1st Prize – Rs. 6000/-

  • 2nd Prize – Rs. 5000/-

  • 3rd Prize – Rs. 4000/-

  • 4th Consolation Prizes (5 each) – Rs. 2000/-
