About Har Gobind Khorana Lecture Series

Punjab State Council for Science & Technology and Institute of Nano Science & Technology instituted HarGobind Khorana Lecture Series, in the year 2015 as a tribute to Nobel Laureate Prof. HarGobind Khorana, the world acclaimed Bio-scientist of Indian/Punjab origin. The series is an annual feature, under which a Nobel Laureate or an eminent scientist of similar stature is invited every year to deliver Popular HarGobind Khorana lecture. As Prof. Khorana was a strong pillar of research ethics and a source of inspiration for scientific fraternity, the objective of the series is to invigorate science students and teachers of Punjab and neighboring states and provide them an opportunity to learn about path-breaking endeavours of Prof. Hargobind Khorana. It also aims to help younger minds gain deeper insights into realms of science by listening to inspiring works of internationally renowned scientists.
