Nobel Prize Series 2019

Background

Nobel Prize Series is a global initiative aimed at providing opportunities for interaction with Nobel Laureates. It is a platform to share impacts of cutting edge research and achievements of Nobel Laureates to enthuse researchers, students & teachers for deeper engagement in science, literature and peace. 

Department of Biotechnology, Government of India has signed an agreement with Nobel Media for organising Nobel Prize Series event every year in different parts of the country. This agreement came into operation in 2017 wherein the first event was organised in Gujarat followed by the second event at Goa in 2018.

Scientists and research scholars from universities & institutions as well as students from schools & colleges of Punjab as well as from the neighbouring States will be participating in the event. Besides interactive sessions, the event will feature World Premiere of the travelling exhibition ‘For the Greatest Benefit to Humankind’ to be put up by Nobel Media showcasing the works of Nobel Laureates and their applications for societal benefits. 

PSCST is coordinating the prestigious event “Nobel Prize Series 2019 “in Punjab.
